MEMORANDUM FOR All- and for anyone with DOD connections, cash, the holiday spirit or in the Atlanta area-

I don't typically ask these kind of things of folks. I'm not one who believes in handing out money to people. In this scenario however, I know the person closely and can vouch for both the need and his mettle.

A good friend, and fellow writer, was attempting to do what a lot of wish we could do.....and spend his holiday embedded with a military unit currently on deployment. The man is a journalist, defense analyst and this is not his first rodeo. Unfortunately government planning has struck again...and after selling off his belongings preparing for a lengthy embed he is now stuck in Georgia trying too get a new set of orders cut for another embed. In the meantime he needs some funding for room and board. Also if you know anyone still on the tarmac or on the ramp who is willing to allow an embed in to their unit that would be a boon. Individual can demonstrate proper credentials to whomever and has completed the required DOD paperwork already.
